Rebranding
This was an interesting product to rebrand. I wanted to strip away everything I knew about Wet Ones, a nd come up with a whole new product. But in order to do that, I needed to rework the logo. For tis particular product, I wanted to go environmentally friendly, with 100% biodegradable packaging from recylced material. The wipes would be 100% cotton, and the fragrance and germ killing formula would be made from natural ingredients. The new product would be targeting young, modern women with a sense of style. These women would be well-off, working, and active, but also care environmentally conscious..
The Logo
The idea was to design the Wet Ones logo as a brand new sub-product and brand. It needed to be soft, clean and modern. I used the waterdrop as the main shape, and created a rounded "W" to play off that shape. The simplicity allows for ease of use across multiple fragrances, since each fragrance would require a different identifying color.
Conclusion
Rebranding a well-known product was fun and challenging. The overall packaging, typography and photography all work together to crerate a design that works for the intended audience. The fragrances were the inspiration for each design, so elements that constructs those fragrances were easy choices to use as components.
